The grandfather of these little bundles of joy on Mom’s side was a top winning Golden Retriever show dog of the 1980′s whose semen was frozen in 1984 and used with the number 1 Golden Retriever female to produce the “Frozen in time litter” 2 years ago, producing Shiver, the Mom and Dad is Rocky, Champion Gracious Golds Lover Not a Fighter, whose currently on the show dog circuit.

9 Bundles Of Joy Arrived July 29

Golden Retriever Puppies 4 Days Old

Nine puppies for mom to keep track of. Is she ever great at it. The birth went wonderfully here at Gracious Kennels Ranch & Spa and they’re been well nourished by mom who tends over them constantly. It’s hard to image how, as we watch these newborn puppies with mom, everything so miraculously happens. As you can see by the pictures they are so little, yet they grow so fast. Eyes will open at about 10 days old. It’s interesting that Golden Retriever Puppies are born with their black pigment on their nose and pads of their feet and Bernese Mountain Dog Puppies are born with pink pigment that turns black over the first couple of months.

Life Is Good

It’s has been a joy watching these babies develop over the past 4 weeks. Mom has been great. With only 2 boys she has nothing but time for the two of them. They’ve both been spoken for and will be going to their new awaiting homes in the next month. So it will be goodbye to these little bundles of joy, but until then we plan to enjoy then all we can as we and Mom raise them at Gracious Kennels Ranch & Spa.
